WIST, April 13 --The 2023 Sino-German Advanced Vocational Education Cooperation Program (SGAVE) Seminar & Annual Conference for Institutions, sponsored by the Secretariat of Tongji University’s Sino-German Advanced Vocational Education Cooperation Program, was held in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province from April 12 to 14. Leaders and experts from the Ministry of Education, local governments, Tongji University, the SGAVE Secretariat, partner enterprises, and pilot institutions attended the meeting. Zhou Yu, Deputy Dean of the School of Mechanical Engineering of WIST, Gao Wenxi, Deputy Dean of the Sino-German College, and secretary Lu Rui, attended this meeting.
During the conference, experts from China and Germany in the fields of vocational education, intelligent manufacturing, automobiles, and new-generation information technology exchanged ideas through various forms such as reports and seminars. It is expected that this conference will establish an exchange and innovation platform for Sino-German cooperation and industry-education integration for project schools and enterprises. The aim is to explore the curriculum and talent training system of “school-enterprise integration”, further advance education reform methods, school operation modes, and guarantee mechanisms, and collaborate in innovation through exploration and seek common development through innovation.
In 2022, WIST’S industrial robotics technology major was selected as one of the first pilot majors under the Sino-German Advanced Vocational Education Cooperation Program by the Ministry of Education. The program is currently progressing smoothly.
