WIST, April 5 --On the occasion of the Qingming Festival,also called Tomb-SweepingDayorPureBrightnessDay,the School of Business and Trade (SBT) organizes the international students to experience Chinese traditional cultural activities for the festival.
On the afternoon of April 4th,the international studentsof SBTwatcheddocumentaries such as “Four Seasons of China:Qingming Festival” and "The Great Beauty ofChina: Family and Nation onPure Brightness Day",understandingthe historical background of the Qingming Festival and its importance in traditional Chinese culture.Whenwatching the documentaries,theyateQingtuan(green rice balls),the special delicacy Chinese people eatin spring.
On April 5,theypreparedfor thecomingvideo shooting activity of "Light ofWIST: International Students’Exploration Journey".Theyarerecordingwith videostheir lifeandlearningexperiences atWIST.
Through these activities, they havefurther understood the culturalsignificanceof Qingming Festival, according to the international students.
