Int'l students experience immersive Chinese learning in OVC

WIST, May 17 -- In Optics Valleyof China (OVC) ,the international students of the School of Business and Trade (SBT) had a Chinese class instructed by Li Zhiyong, a Chinese teacher of WIST.

Li first led the students to visit the landmark ofOVC --- a sculpture namedXinghe, whichmeans the Milky Way andrepresentsthe target of Wuhan to be an international city with innovation and a beautiful city with the charm of rivers and lakes. Li explained to the students, "Currently, Optics Valley is building a national highland for scientific and technological innovation, withemerging sci-techparksand continuous breakthroughs ofkey technologies." Along the way,Liconducted immersive teaching for students, explaining the Chinese vocabulary of shopping,Wuhan's commercial civilization and digital development.Thestudentsexplore the bustling commercial and cultural diversity of Wuhanamong theantiquearchitecture andcolorfulneon lights.

Thislearning tripnot only innovates the teaching mode, but also provides a good atmosphere and environment for international students to understand Wuhan and China."We have had an impressing and amazing Chinese class in Optics Valley," the international students said.
